The European Commission launches a public online consultation on the challenges for the EU's Information Society policy beyond 2005. The European Commission’s view of the challenges that a European Information Society strategy up to 2010 needs to address are set out in a Commission communication on "Challenges for the European Information Society beyond 2005" that was adopted on 19 November 2004.
